The edge were set with DMT stones (coarse,fine, x-fine) with a micro-bevel 3-5 degrees higher applied with a black arkansas stone. Final stropping was performed on a piece of flat brass barstock loaded with white polishing compound. The initial shaping took about twengty minutes with 2-3 minute to actually hone the profiled edges.
Both blades very similar in sharpness and cutting ability with one scoring slightly higher, this being the one described in the main page. Both blades had problems whittling hair, readily sliced newsprint, push cut newprint well, sliced the paper towel but not the toilet paper.
